Offleash Social ("we", "our" or "us") operates the Offleash Social application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information when you use the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

To provide and improve the Service, we may collect certain information, including your name, email address, profile information, profile and dog photos, messages, approximate location information, app usage information and diagnostics data. We collect and use this information to operate the Service, provide location-based features, improve functionality, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.

The Service uses third-party service providers and processors, including Firebase, Firebase Storage, Google Maps, Apple Maps, Expo and OpenAI. We may also use analytics and crash reporting tools where necessary to operate and improve the Service. These providers may process personal information solely for the purpose of providing services on our behalf.

Users may sign in using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In or email registration. Depending on the authentication method used, we may receive your name, email address and profile photo.

The Service uses approximate location information to provide location-based functionality. Exact GPS coordinates are obfuscated directly on the device and are not stored on our servers. We do not maintain continuous location tracking or movement history.

The Service includes private messaging between users. Messages are encrypted during transmission but are not end-to-end encrypted. Messages are retained indefinitely and deleting a conversation only removes it from your own account. Photos and content uploaded to the Service may be visible to other users and, in some circumstances, may be accessible outside your immediate area depending on how the Service is used. Users remain responsible for all content that they upload, including photographs containing children or other third parties.

Whenever you use our Service, we may collect information such as your device Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, crash reports, usage statistics and the time and date of your use of the Service.

The Service does not use advertising identifiers and does not engage in third-party advertising tracking or marketing attribution. The app may use cookies or similar technologies through third-party libraries to provide and improve certain features of the Service.

Users may delete their accounts through the Service. Upon deletion, we immediately delete authentication information, user information, profile information, photos, push notification tokens and location information. Certain information may be retained where necessary for functionality, analytics, security or legal purposes, including messages, reports, block lists and anonymised connection and help request information.

We value your trust in providing us with your personal information and strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

The Service is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we may delete such information and terminate the associated account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes become effective immediately after they are posted on this page. Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
